Sunset Run Nissequogue River State Park Run/Walk 2026
An evening run and walk held on June 1, 2026 at Nissequogue River State Park in Kings Park, NY. The event features a 5K run/walk and a 1K kids fun run. Distances are offered as timed and untimed options.
Registration is available online with base fees and processing fees applied. Example totals shown are $27.59 for the 5K and $13.10 for the 1K. Personalized race numbers are available for participants who register three weeks in advance.
Onsite amenities include free food and beverages, a complimentary gift and t shirt for preregistered participants while supplies last, complimentary beer for attendees 21 and older, live entertainment with a DJ, and a scenic course. Live online and same day finish line photos and video are provided.
Cash awards are listed for overall finishers and masters, including $100 for first place, $75 for second place, and $50 for third place, with additional masters prizes and 5 year age group awards from 14 and under through 80 and older.
The event benefits the Nissequogue River State Park Foundation, a not for profit organization that works with New York State Parks to enhance and preserve the park. Registration fees are non refundable and non transferable and entrants agree to a standard liability waiver and media release.
