Sunrise to Sunset Relay
The Sunrise to Sunset Relay is a 12-hour team endurance relay held on August 15, 2026 at McAllister Park, Pavilion #5, Trailhead, San Antonio, TX 78247. Teams complete as many laps as possible on a 1-mile loop course during the 12-hour period. There are no prescribed intervals; teams choose their own rotation strategy, for example running one, two, or four loops before switching, or adapting rotations throughout the day.
Team registration options and pricing are listed for two sizes: Team of 2 at $50 per team and Team of 6 at $150 per team. Aid station support will be available on course. Awards are presented to the Overall Mileage Champions and to the top two performing teams by total laps completed. Divisions are based on average team age with categories for under 50 and 50 plus, each offering female, male, and mixed team classifications.
The event emphasizes teamwork, strategy, and sustained mileage over a multihour period. Participants may set up tents, chairs, coolers, and on-course nutrition at a home base near the pavilion.
