Sunrise Stampede
The Sunrise Stampede is a family-oriented 5K and 1 Mile run/walk established in 1985. The event is presented as an annual community race held at Fall River Elementary School / Stephen Day Park and uses open space trails for the course. The 2026 edition is noted as the 40th annual event.

The race raises funds to support Educator Grants, including Special Education and Mental Health grants. Grants are awarded to teachers with projects and ideas intended to support classroom work and student needs. The event includes awards for top runners in age categories for the 5K and a School Spirit Challenge where the St. Vrain Valley school with the most participants earns a trophy and cash prize.
