Sunrise Run Before the Sundown
The event is a 5K run held on June 2, 2026, at MCAS Cherry Point, Cunningham Gate, Cherry Point, NC 28533, United States. The run is presented as part of a day of activities commemorating the AV-8 Harrier and the Harrier community and their service.
Registration opens March 27, 2026, and closes on the event date. The fee is $25 through race day; registration includes a race t-shirt. The course begins and ends on the west end of Runway 5 aboard MCAS Cherry Point.
Awards will be presented to the top three overall male and female finishers and to top male and female finishers in age groups 15 and under, 16–19, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, 60–69, and 70 plus. Additional awards include top three Active Duty Spouse, Oldest Aviator, Oldest Marine, and Youngest Marine.
