Sunrise Run Before the Sundown
The Sunrise Run Before the Sundown is a community 5K run scheduled for 06/02/2026 at 1 Recreation Drive, Havelock, NC 28532, United States. The run honors the AV-8 Harrier and the Harrier community while recognizing the aircraft's history and contributions to the Marine Corps. The run initiates a full day of activities to commemorate the Harrier community and the aircraft’s service.
Registration opens March 27, 2026 and closes June 2, 2026. The registration fee is $25 through race day and registration includes a race t-shirt.
Awards are presented across multiple categories. Awards include top three overall male and female finishers and top male and female in each age group: 15 and under, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and over. Additional awards recognize the top three active duty spouses, the oldest aviator, the oldest Marine, and the youngest Marine. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
