Event Overview
The Sunrise Florida Half Marathon & 5k is an annual running event held at Markham Park in Sunrise, Florida. The 2026 edition marks the ninth year of the competition, providing participants with a route through a nature-rich environment featuring lakes, diverse habitats, and picturesque trails. The course includes a variety of terrain, ranging from flat paths to gentle hills.

- 5k
Course Details
The event has a maximum time limit of 3.5 hours for completion. To support runners during the race, water and electrolyte stations are positioned along the course at intervals of approximately two miles or less. The routes are contained within Markham Park, and interactive maps are available for both the 5k and the Half Marathon distances.
Participant Information
Each registered runner receives a choice between a finisher medal or a finisher mug upon completing their race. Technical t-shirts and cotton tank tops are also included with the entry, subject to size availability during packet pick-up. Awards are presented to the top five finishers in various age categories, ranging from under 10 to 75 and over.
Markham Park offers complimentary parking for all attendees. Early packet pick-up is typically held at a local running store in Davie on the day before the race, with additional pick-up options available on the morning of the event at the park.
