Sunrise Florida Half Marathon & 5k, March 20, 2027
The Sunrise Florida Half Marathon and 5k is held at Markham Park in Sunrise, Florida. This is the event's tenth annual edition and it offers two distances: a half marathon and a 5k.
The routes run through Markham Park and use trails around lakes and varied habitats. The course includes a mix of terrain, with gentle hills and flat sections. Water and sports drink stations are provided about every two miles or less. The half marathon has a 3.5 hour time limit.
Entries include technical shirts and cotton tank tops, and finishers may choose either a finisher medal or a finisher mug. Personalized engraving on the back of the medal is available at the event for an additional ten dollars. Packet pick up is available before the event, with an early packet pick up session the Friday before at Runner's Depot in Davie and race day packet pick up on the morning of the event. Organizers advise arriving early for preferred shirt sizes and styles.
Awards are presented to the top five in each age group across multiple categories ranging from 1 to 10 up to 75 and older. Markham Park provides ample complimentary parking.
