Sundowner 5K Series
The Sundowner 5K Series is a summer evening running series in Edinburgh organised by Blast Running. The series takes place across three parks—Leith Links, Fettes and Inverleith Park—on Wednesday 1 July, Wednesday 26 August and Wednesday 9 September 2026. Each event covers a 5K distance on inner trail paths.
The format includes chip timing and race photography. Courses are clearly marked and marshals are positioned around the routes. The series is supported by FNZ and offers a warm-up session by Westwoods Health Club. Maximum capacity is 250 entries per event.
Entry options are a single race at £12 or all three races for £30. Limited on-the-day places may be available and online entry is offered. An optional finisher medal is available for an extra £5 per runner.
Prizes are awarded to the fastest male and female in each age category at each event, and a special prize is given for the most improved runner across the three events. The series also names Earth in Common, a Leith-based charity that helps children connect with nature through urban food growing and delivers environmental, social and educational projects.
