Breaking The Laws 30K

Breaking The Laws is a running and walking event in North Berwick on 13 September 2026. The main event is a 30K route that starts and finishes in North Berwick and is broken into three relay-friendly legs. The course combines roads, trails and hill sections and has 640 metres of total ascent.

The route includes a climb of North Berwick Law, a section along the John Muir Way to East Linton, a leg up Traprain Law via the River Tyne, and a final flatter leg back to North Berwick suitable for mixed-ability relay teams. A separate scenic 10K circular walk runs around North Berwick Law and the surrounding area.

Event entries include chip timing, a medal and event t-shirt, hydration stations, a designated relay changeover area, full route marshalling, first aid cover and free car parking. Entry options and listed prices are 30K solo entry for £30, 30K relay team entry for £45 for teams of three, and 10K walk entry for £10. Blast Running Ltd will donate £5 per runner or team to Scottish Veterans Residences, which provides supported housing for former members of the UK Armed Forces.
