5th Sundon Saunter
The 5th Sundon Saunter is an LDWA Beds, Bucks and Northants event on 16 November 2025. The venue is Barton-le-Clay Village Hall (MK45 4JY, GR TL 083 307). Parking is available at the village hall or at Arnold Academy, Hexton Road (MK45 4JZ, GR TL 086 305); entrants are asked not to park in village streets or the private road opposite the HQ. The walk follows mainly field paths, tracks, woods and some roads through undulating countryside with views from the hills. Distances offered:
- 13 miles (walkers only)
- 18 miles (walkers and runners)
- 27 miles (walkers and runners)
Entries, equipment and event rules
Entries open 1 September 2025 and close 19 October 2025. Priority entry is reserved for LDWA members until 19 October; entry opens to all from 20 October. Fees are: LDWA member £10, non-LDWA £15, under 18s free. There will be no entries on the day and entries are not transferable. Refunds before 2 November carry a £2 admin fee; after that date refunds are not normally given unless a waiting-list place is filled.
Entrants must download and print their route description; route descriptions and GPX files will be published on the BBN website by 6 November 2025. Required equipment includes route description, compass, mug, torch if finishing after dark, mobile phone, first aid kit, waterproof trousers and jacket. Maps covering the routes are identified (OS LR165/166 or OS EXP192/193). Dogs allowed but must be on leads, not in halls, and have liability insurance.
