15th Steppingley Step
The event is based at Barton-le-Clay Village Hall and follows mainly field paths, tracks, woods and some roads through undulating countryside with good views from the hills traversed. Routes are waymarked by route descriptions and pass through a number of checkpoints.

Entries are online only and open from 1 September 2026, with entries closing on 13 November 2026. Priority entry is available for LDWA members until 18 October, with general entry opening on 19 October at midday. There are no entries on the day and entries are not transferable. Entry fees are LDWA member £10, non LDWA £15, under 18s free. A £2 administration fee is deducted from refunds notified before 1 November 2026; after that date refunds are not normally given unless a place is filled from the waiting list.
Practical information includes parking at the village hall or Arnold Academy on Hexton Road and following marshals' directions. Route descriptions and GPX files must be downloaded and printed before arrival as none will be supplied on the day.
