Event overview
The 5th Sundon Saunter is organised by LDWA - Beds, Bucks and Northants and is scheduled for 16 November 2025. The walk follows mainly field paths, tracks, woods and some roads through undulating countryside with views from the hills. There are three advertised courses:
- 13 miles (walkers only)
- 18 miles (walkers and runners)
- 27 miles (walkers and runners)
The venue is Barton-le-Clay Village Hall (MK45 4JY). Parking is available at the village hall or at Arnold Academy, Hexton Road (MK45 4JZ). The event is currently full; entries so far and waiting list places are recorded on the organiser’s entry system.
Practical information and rules
Entry fees are listed as LDWA member £10, non-LDWA £15, and under 18s free. There will be no entries on the day, entries are not transferable and substitutions are not allowed. A refund policy and a small administration fee for early cancellations are in place; refunds may not be given after a stated date but places filled from the waiting list may generate a donation to a local charity.
Participants must download and print their own route description; GPX files and route details will be published before the event. Required equipment includes a route description, compass, mug, waterproofs, first aid kit and torch if finishing after dark. Dogs are allowed but must be on leads, are not permitted in halls except assistance dogs, and must have liability insurance. Checkpoint opening and closing times will be strictly adhered to.
