Hertfordshire Half Marathon & 10k
The Hertfordshire event is held at Knebworth Park with the start and finish in front of Knebworth House. The course passes through the grounds of Knebworth Park and then onto rural country lanes on a fully road-closed route. Each kilometre is marked with distance flags and marshals are positioned around the course.
The event offers two distances:
- Half Marathon
- 10k
Entries include a themed medal, free race photos, chip-timed results and post-race goodies. Timed results contribute to national rankings. A secure bag-drop marquee is provided and baggage tags attach to race numbers.
Event facilities include an event village with food and drink options, portable toilets in the village and on course for Half Marathon runners, and water stations roughly every 5 km. Race pack collection takes place on the morning of the event. A group warm-up is held shortly before each race and marshals call out estimated finish times to help runners line up.
Accessibility notes state that buggy runners and wheelchair athletes are welcome but the course has notable elevation; participants should check the elevation and course map in advance. Dogs are not permitted. Minimum ages are 17 years for the Half Marathon and 15 years for the 10k.
Transport and parking information notes Stevenage as the closest train station (about 2.3 miles from the venue), local bus number 8 to Roebuck Gate, and a single road entrance to the event car park near the A1(M) junction 7 roundabout.
