Sunbury Marathon
The Sunbury Marathon is a running event in Sunbury, Ohio, held on September 12, 2026. The event uses mainly paved city streets and segments of the Ohio to Erie Trail and highlights scenic mid-Ohio countryside. The full marathon is a Boston Marathon qualifying race and carries Course Certification Code OH26012JHP.
The courses are described as flat and out and back. The marathon heads northeast from the heart of Sunbury toward just north of Centerburg. The half marathon runs northeast on the Ohio to Erie Trail with a turnaround near the Licking/Knox county line. Chip timing and live results are provided for timed events.

Minors under 18 may participate in the 10K and 1 Mile only when accompanied and supervised by a parent, guardian, or other designated responsible adult. Packet pick-up is at Sunbury Town Hall, 51 E.
