Powell Turkey Trot : 12th Anniversary
Powell Turkey Trot is a community running event in Powell, Ohio, marking its 12th anniversary. The event features a timed 4 mile race with cash prizes for the top three men and top three women. A separate kids event, the Wobble Til You Gobble kids race, is also part of the program.
Swag for the anniversary includes a specially designed race medal and magnets created in partnership with local elementary schools. Participants may choose between a commemorative beer served in a collectible glass provided by Ill Mannered Brewing Company or a pair of specially designed race socks. Additional items from event sponsors are included in the swag bag, and local Powell bakeries will supply a take home sweet treat for Thanksgiving.
Packet pickup is scheduled at the East Community Room, 47 Hall St, Powell, on the two days before the event. There will be no race day packet pickup or on site registration. The deadline to guarantee a race shirt and socks is November 15. The event supports the Columbus Turkey Drive as a charitable donation recipient.
Prizes for the 4 mile race are listed by place and gender: 1st place $400, 2nd place $350, 3rd place $300. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
