Delaware Turkey Trot
The Delaware Turkey Trot is a family friendly run and walk held on Thanksgiving morning in downtown Delaware, Ohio. The event offers multiple participation options and a virtual entry.
The course begins and ends on East Winter Street near the library (84 E Winter St). The route passes local landmarks including The Strand Theatre, 1808 and Mi Cerrito, continues up Sandusky Street, follows Wilmer, includes an out-and-back stretch on Henry Street, crosses a pedestrian bridge above Route 23, and returns to East Winter for the finish area.

Portions of the course are coned down the middle to maintain traffic patterns. Sandusky Street from William to Wilmer uses the parking lane and one travel lane with runners on the far left lane. Winter Street from Lake Street to Estelle Street is coned down the middle with runners on the right lane.
Packet pickup is scheduled on three days the week of the race at New Beginnings Church, 2163 State Route 37 East, Delaware, OH. Participants receive a long sleeve t-shirt, a finisher medal, and an individual dessert. Awards are given to the top three male and top three female finishers.
The event donates 100 percent of its proceeds to the Autism Society Central Ohio and has donated nearly $232,000 to date. Registration is non-refundable and non-transferable. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
