Delaware Turkey Trot : downtown Delaware Thanksgiving run/walk
The Delaware Turkey Trot is a family friendly run and walk held on Thanksgiving morning in downtown Delaware, Ohio. The course begins and ends on East Winter Street near the library and passes local landmarks including The Strand Theatre, 1808 and Mi Cerrito. The route follows Sandusky Street, continues down Wilmer, includes an out-and-back section on Henry Street, and crosses a pedestrian bridge above Route 23 before returning on East Winter.

Portions of the course are coned down the middle to maintain traffic patterns; specific sections noted include Sandusky Street from William to Wilmer and Winter Street from Lake Street to Estelle Street. Registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable. Packet pickup is spaced over three days the week of the event at New Beginnings Church.
Participants receive a long sleeve t-shirt, a finisher medal, and an individual dessert. Awards are presented to the top three male and top three female finishers. The event donates 100% of its proceeds to the Autism Society Central OH and has donated nearly $232,000 to date. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
