Nelson's Summit 50/50 : Salamanca, NY
Salt City Trail Racing, in partnership with Allegany State Park, presents the sixth annual Nelson's Summit 50/50 in the Red House area of Allegany State Park. The event offers three trail distances on a looped course that begins and ends at the Art Roscoe warming hut.
The course mixes groomed trail, single track, and rolling hills. The loop is about 16 miles with approximately 2,250 feet of elevation change per loop, so actual race distances run slightly over nominal values. The event is USATF sanctioned and insured, Trail Sisters approved, and listed as a UTMB Index race.
Aid support includes two staffed aid stations with water, electrolyte drinks, fruit, sandwiches, salty snacks, cookies, candy, and ice when warranted. A limited selection of hot foods is available for 50 mile runners after mile 34. All entrants receive a pair of SCTR socks. Prizes are awarded to top finishers in each gender division.
Refunds are not available. Deferrals may be offered for pregnancy, injury, or volunteering when slots remain. Distance changes are allowed until online registration closes. Specified cutoffs apply for each distance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.

- 50 Miler - ~50.2 miles; ~6,873 ft elevation; 14 hour cutoff with intermediate cutoffs
