Nelson's Summit 50/50 in Salamanca, NY
Nelson's Summit 50/50 is the sixth annual trail running event organized by Salt City Trail Racing in the Red House area of Allegany State Park. The event is USATF sanctioned and insured, Trail Sisters approved, and holds a UTMB Index designation.

The course uses a loop of about 16 miles composed of groomed trail, single track, and rolling hills. The loop has roughly 2,250 feet of elevation change and is marked with flags and signs. The race begins and ends at the Art Roscoe warming hut in the Summit trail system.
Total distances and elevation change are approximately 25 km ~16.1 miles with ~2,244 ft, 50 km ~32.2 miles with ~4,537 ft, and 50 mile ~50.2 miles with ~6,873 ft. Time cutoffs are provided in hours for each distance, with examples of 6 hours for the 25 km, 9 hours for the 50 km, and 14 hours for the 50 mile option.
Two well stocked aid stations support runners with water, electrolyte drink, ice if needed, fruit, salty snacks, sweets, and basic hot foods for 50 mile runners after mile 34. All entrants receive event socks and top finishers in each gender division receive prizes. Refunds are not granted; limited deferrals and distance changes are permitted under stated conditions.
