Event Overview

The Summit 50/50 is a trail running event taking place in Allegany State Park's Red House Area in Salamanca, New York. The sixth annual edition of the race is scheduled for October 24, 2026. The event offers three distances: a 50 Miler, a 50km, and a 25km. It is organized by Salt City Trail Racing in partnership with Allegany State Park. The race is USATF sanctioned, Trail Sisters approved, and is a UTMB Index race.

Course Details

The course is a looped trail route beginning and ending at the Art Roscoe warming hut. It consists of groomed trails, single track, and rolling hills within the 65,000-acre Allegany State Park. Runners will pass two aid stations offering water, sports drink, fruit, snacks, and limited hot food for the longer distance. The course will be marked with flags and signs.

  • 25km: Approximately 16.1 miles with ~2,244 feet of elevation change. The cutoff time is 6 hours.
  • 50km: Approximately 32.2 miles with ~4,537 feet of elevation change. The cutoff time is 9 hours.
  • 50 Miler: Approximately 50.2 miles with ~6,873 feet of elevation change. The total cutoff time is 14 hours, with intermediate cutoffs at specific aid stations.

All participants will receive a pair of SCTR socks. Prizes are awarded to the top finishers in each distance and gender division. Registration closes on October 21, 2026.
