Nelson's Summit 50/50 : Allegany State Park, Salamanca NY

Nelson's Summit 50/50 is a trail ultrarunning event organized by Salt City Trail Racing in the Red House area of Allegany State Park near Salamanca, NY. The event offers three distances on a looped course made of groomed trail and single track with rolling hills. The loop measures about 16 miles and is used multiple times for the longer distances.

Distances:

• 25km: ~16.1 miles, ~2,244 ft, 6 hour cutoff
• 50km: ~32.2 miles, ~4,537 ft, 9 hour cutoff
• 50 Miler: ~50.2 miles, ~6,873 ft, 14 hour cutoff and intermediate cutoffs

Two well stocked aid stations support runners with water, Skratch, orange slices, bananas, pickles, PB&Js, chips, pretzels, oreos, candy, and ice if needed. A limited selection of hot foods is available for 50 mile runners after mile 34. All entrants receive a pair of SCTR socks and top finishers in each gender and distance receive prizes. The course will be marked with flags and signs. The event is USATF sanctioned and insured, Trail Sisters approved, and is a UTMB Index race.
