The Holiday Valley Mudslide Obstacle Trail Run takes place on Saturday, June 20, 2026, in Ellicottville, New York at 6577 Holiday Valley Rd. This is the 14th annual running of the event. The race is a mudrun with 15 obstacles. The course does not include fire, barbed wire, or electric shocks. All finishers receive a timed result and a finisher's medal.
Courses and rules
The main courses start at the top of Morning Star with access from the Yodeler lift. Both routes run along the ridgeline to Spruce Lake, then return around the mountain to Eagle where the short and long courses split. The short course descends the hill, while the long course adds additional uphill running.
Distances:
- 4.2 mile short course
- 6.0 mile long course
- Kids course for children
Age and entry notes: Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
- The long and short courses are open to ages 9 to 99.
- The kids course is for ages 4 to 11; children under 10 may run the short course only if accompanied by a parent or guardian.
- Runners who miss the long course start window must switch to the short course.
- Organizers advise faster runners to start early in their wave to contend for top 10 placements.
