14th Summer’s End 5k : Dewey Beach, DE
The 14th Summer’s End 5k takes place on September 6, 2026, at North Beach Restaurant, 125 McKinley Street, Dewey Beach, DE 19971. It is part number 8 of the Ten Sisters of Dewey Beach Road Race Series. The event offers a 5k run/walk and a separate COMPETITIVE WALKING 5K category. Competitive walkers must walk the entire race; running or jogging is not allowed in that category.
Pre-registration closes August 29 and day-of registration is available. Standard pre-registration fees are shown as $33.70, with a day-of rate of $35.00. The competitive walking entry is listed at $33.70. Additional post-race party tickets are listed at $12.40.
Amenities, timing and race rules
The event provides gender-specific tee shirts and giveaway items. A post-race party and awards will be held at Jimmy’s Grill, with food and beer available for participants 21 and over. R2R Timing will use the MYLAPS BibTag chip timing system. Overall and masters top finisher awards are scored by gun time; all other age groups are scored by chip (net) time.
Awards include $25 gift cards for overall male/female and masters, top 3 in 5-year age groups from 9 & under through 80 & over, top 3 walkers, and $50 gift cards to the fastest and largest team. Results and photos will be posted online. No dogs are allowed, bibs are non-transferable, and registrations are non-refundable.
