14th Summer's End 5k
The 14th Summer's End 5k takes place September 6, 2026 in Dewey Beach, DE. It is event number 8 in the Ten Sisters of Dewey Beach Road Race Series and is based at North Beach Restaurant, 125 McKinley Street on the bay. The program includes a 5K run/walk and a separate competitive walking 5K; competitive walkers must walk the entire distance with no running or jogging.
Pre-registration closes August 29 and day-of registration is available. Listed fees show $33.70 for pre-registration and $35.00 for day-of entry. Additional post-race party tickets are listed at $12.40. Amenities include gender specific T-shirts and giveaway items. The post-race party and awards will be held at Jimmy's Grill with food and beer available for those 21 and over.
Timing is by chip using the MYLAPS BibTag system operated by R2R Timing. Awards are given by gun time for overall and masters and by chip time for age groups; prizes include $25 gift cards for top finishers and $50 gift cards for the fastest and largest team. Results and photos will be posted online after the event. No dogs are allowed due to insurance liability, bibs are non-transferable, and registrations are non-refundable. The event benefits Dewey Beach Patrol and Rotary Club #41. Limited parking is available at North Beach with additional street parking nearby.
