Event overview
The Summer Sizzler - Memphis takes place on August 23, 2026, at Greenbelt Park - Boat Ramp, 1320 N Mud Island Rd, Memphis, TN 38103. The event group includes multiple race options:
- 5K
- 10K
- 15K
- 1-Mile
- Kids Dash
- Virtual Race
The 5K, 10K, and 15K are chip-timed and eligible for age-group awards. The 1-Mile and Kids Dash are untimed events. A virtual option allows participants to run at any location and receive a mailed packet.
Registration, entries and race items
Standard in-person registrations for the 5K/10K/15K include a custom bib, designer shirt, and a custom finisher medal. The 1-Mile registration is untimed and includes a custom bib, shirt, and finisher medal. The Kid’s Dash (ages 10 and under) includes a mini bib, youth-sized shirt, and a specially made medal; children may participate in the Kid’s Dash without receiving swag. Youth-based pricing applies for the 5K/10K (12 and under).
Virtual registrants receive a digital bib, event shirt, finisher medal, and shipping; virtual packets are mailed the Wednesday after the race.
Timing, awards and services
Timed events use chip-timing with live results. Age-group awards for the 5K/10K/15K include overall male/female, masters (40+), and top three male/female in standard age brackets from 10 & under through 80+. Additional on-course features listed by the organizer include free photos, post-finish treats, a Kona Ice truck, and an optional "Beach Party Challenge" where participants carry items from water stations and return them after finishing to earn a challenge pin. Packet pickup is available on race day. The organizer has a no-refund policy and will cancel or transfer to virtual only if the venue requires cancellation or if ice hazards make the course unsafe.
