Summer Sizzler - Memphis
The Summer Sizzler is an annual running event taking place at Greenbelt Park - Boat Ramp on Mud Island in Memphis. This event features several race distances to accommodate different participants, including timed competitive runs and untimed recreational options. The courses for the 5k, 10k, and 15k are chip-timed, providing participants with live results and eligibility for awards.
The event offers the following distances:
- Kids Dash (50m) for ages 10 and under
- 1 Mile untimed run
- 5k (3.1 miles) timed race
- 10k (6.2 miles) timed race
- 15k (9.32 miles) timed race
- Virtual Race option for remote participation
Participants receive a variety of event amenities, including a designer shirt, a custom finisher medal, and a custom bib. The organizers provide free event photography and a selection of treats at the finish line, including Kona Ice. Youth-based pricing is available for participants aged 12 and under in specific distances.
For those unable to attend the physical location, a virtual race option allows participants to complete their chosen distance at any location. Virtual registration includes a digital bib and the shipping of a physical shirt and medal. Additionally, a team registration program is available where groups of four or more can receive partial refunds on their registration fees.
