Summer Sizzler - Dallas
The Summer Sizzler - Dallas is an annual seasonal running event held at Bachman Lake Park in Dallas, Texas. The event features a variety of distances to accommodate different participants, including chip-timed races and untimed recreational options.
Participants can choose from the following distances:
- 15K (Triple out and back course)
- 10k (Double out and back course)
- 5k
- 1 Mile (Untimed)
- Kids Dash (Untimed for ages 10 and under)
- Virtual Race
The 5k, 10k, and 15K events are chip-timed, with live results and awards available immediately following the completion of the race. These distances offer overall male and female awards, masters categories, and top three placements across various age groups. The 1 Mile and Kids Dash are untimed events focused on participation. Registration for the standard distances includes a custom bib, a designer shirt, and a finisher medal.
A unique feature of this event is the Beach Party Challenge. This optional activity requires participants to collect and carry beach-themed items from each water station throughout their race. Those who cross the finish line with all items in hand receive a special challenge pin. Post-race amenities include free photos, treats at the finish line, and refreshments from a Kona Ice truck for participants who present their race bib.
