La Nuit
La Nuit is a night trail running event held July 24-25, 2026 at Cedar Ridge Preserve, 7171 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX. The event offers multiple race options over a repeated loop course and supports Equip Disciples and Cedar Ridge Preserve.
Race options include:
- 1 Mile (hike-n-run)
- 5K
- 10K
- 3 Hour
- 6 Hour
- 9 Hour
- 9 Hour Relay (three-person teams)
The hour races and relay use a repeated loop of about 3.2 miles. 5K and 10K runners use the same loop. Runners complete as many loops as possible in their time window; winners are determined by the most loops completed in the shortest time. All final loops must begin before each race cutoff. Restrooms are located at the start/finish.
Course and aid stations: The trail system includes forested sections, a pond, grassland, steps built from rock or wood, and surfaces of rock, mulch, dirt, and small gravel. Trails are marked with reflective signs and ropes for night use. A main aid station at the start/finish provides water, Gatorade, pickle juice, pickles, chips, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, fruit, chocolates, and other snacks; occasional hot food is available overnight. A small water table sits at the halfway point. This is a cupless event; runners should bring a bottle or collapsible cup.
Logistics and rules: Packet pickup is at The Runner in Arlington on July 22 and 23 and at the event on July 25. Registration closes July 23 at 11:59 PM CT. No dogs, strollers, or bikes on trails. Trekking poles are allowed. Entry fees are non-refundable except for severe weather conditions specified by the organizers. Participants must stay on marked trails and may be disqualified for off-course shortcuts or unsafe conduct. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
