La Nuit : Cedar Ridge Preserve, Dallas (July 24-25, 2026)
La Nuit is an overnight trail running event held at Cedar Ridge Preserve in Dallas, Texas. The event uses a repeated loop format and includes several race options and a relay. Walk-up registration is available and packet pick up is offered in the days before the event at The Runner in Arlington and at the event site.
Distances and formats include:
- 1 Mile
- 5K
- 10K
- Timed 3 hour race
- Timed 6 hour race
- Timed 9 hour race
- 9 hour relay for three-person teams
The timed races follow the same approximately 3.2 mile loop repeated as many times as possible; winners are determined by the number of loops completed and the fastest time. For all hour races, runners must start their final loop within the last 20 minutes before the race cutoff and must finish that loop. In the 9 hour relay each team member alternates running the loop while carrying the chip timer.
The trail is described as moderate to difficult due to varied terrain: forested sections, a pond area, grassland, rock and wood steps, mulch, dirt and small gravel, switchbacks and both steep and gentle climbs. Trails are marked with reflective signs and ropes. A main aid station at the start/finish provides water, Gatorade, pickle juice, snacks and some hot foods, with an additional water table midway. The event is cupless; participants should bring their own drink container. No dogs, strollers or bikes are permitted on the trails. Entry fees are non-refundable. Proceeds benefit Equip Disciples and Cedar Ridge Preserve. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
