Summer Sizzler 5 Km
The event is a chip-timed 5 km road race held on Wednesday 5th August 2026. Entry options include online pre-entry and on-the-day registration; pre-entries close on Sunday 2nd August 2026. Entry fees are listed as £10 for affiliated runners and £12 for non-affiliated runners, with an additional £2 for entries on the day.
Organizers do not provide finisher medals or T-shirts but award prizes to category winners. The first burger or sausage item is provided free with the race number. There is no BBQ on site this year; the club will offer "BBQ" items from the kitchen. Presentation of awards will take place at Llandaff Rugby Club.
Race headquarters and registration are at Llandaff Rugby Club, Western Ave., Cardiff CF5 2AZ. The course is accurately measured and follows the same route used for Cardiff parkrun, starting and finishing on the Taff Trail alongside Tesco Extra. To reach the course from Llandaff Rugby Club, participants cross the footbridge, head along Western Ave towards the River Taff, cross the river, then go down the steps to the path between the River Taff and Tesco.
