Summer Sizzle 5K
The Summer Sizzle is a certified 5 km race held in Fort Lupton, Colorado. The event takes place at the Fort Lupton Recreation and Parks Department, situated at 203 S Harrison. Participants engage in a course that begins on South Harrison Avenue, specifically located in front of the back parking lot of the facility. The event is organized as a co-ed activity available for participants between the ages of 5 and 99.
The race distinguishes between those who are running and those who are walking. Runners depart first, followed immediately by the walkers. Medals are awarded to the first male and first female finishers upon completion of the course. Pre-registration for the event is encouraged by the organizers.
Logistical arrangements include packet pick-up starting the day before the event at the recreation center. Each race bag contains a bib number, a T-shirt, and additional information regarding the activity. For arrival on the day of the event, specific parking instructions are provided. Attendees may utilize the north parking lot in front of the recreation center or an additional lot located south of the soccer fields off of CR 12. Parking is not permitted in the south lot directly behind the center.
