Summer Sensation Half Marathon - Long Beach
The event takes place on August 15, 2026 in Long Beach, California, along the Belmont Shores beach path at 5400 E Ocean Blvd. Participants check in at the tables near 54th Place at the start of the beach path.
Registration includes custom finisher medals, drawstring goodie bags, free photos and videos, results posted within 12 to 24 hours, and an assortment of snacks and samples. The event is presented as a relaxed and personal racing experience.
Course and distances
- 5k out and back route
- 10k two 5k loops
- 15k three 5k loops
- Half marathon three 4.36 mile loops
The course has numerous restrooms and water fountains along the route. Running or walking with a stroller is allowed. The half marathon has a 3 hour 15 minute time limit; participants who need additional time should contact the organizer to arrange an early start.
Attendees are advised to plan on carpooling and arriving early to find parking and use restrooms. Participants are also advised to bring toilet paper if needed, as beach restrooms may not be fully stocked early in the morning.
