Summer Nights 5K + 1 Miler
Summer Nights 5K + 1 Miler takes place at the Daniel Stowe Conservancy in Belmont, North Carolina on July 18, 2026. The event offers two route options that run through the conservancy grounds and surrounding paths.
- 5K: Run through wooded trails, manicured gardens and mixed surfaces.
- 1 Miler: Short route along paved paths and garden areas.
The course passes through a variety of environments, including wooded trails, manicured gardens and the Prairie Castle Playground. Surfaces include paved areas, brick pathways and natural trails.
After the event, participants with race bibs have exclusive access to the Gardens at Stowe. Only entrants wearing bibs will be allowed into the Gardens after the run; spectators who want garden access must register separately.
Custom awards for the 5K will be given to the top three overall male and female finishers and to the top three male and female finishers in five-year age groups from 14 and under through 70 and better. Dogs are not permitted on the route because the course goes through areas where dogs are prohibited.
The event includes fundraising activity; the highest fundraising participant will receive a family plus Garden membership valued at $175. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
