The Summer Meltdown Half Marathon Austin takes place on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at Lake Pflugerville Park in Pflugerville, Texas. The event features multiple race distances.

- Half Marathon: 13.1 miles
- Quarter Marathon: 6.55 miles
- 5K Run: 3.1 miles

- Kids Dash: Approximately 20 yards for children 10 and under

- Volunteer then Run 5K: A limited entry option combining volunteering and running the 5K.
The 5K, Quarter Marathon, and Half Marathon are chip-timed. The 1 Mile Run and Kids Dash are not timed. Youth-based pricing is available for the 5K and Quarter Marathon for participants aged 12 and under.
Course and Venue
The event is held at Lake Pflugerville Park. The race organization notes that while they attempt to stay on paved trails, the course may have mixed surfaces including pavement, crushed granite, and dirt paths.
Schedule and Amenities
Packet pickup is available from 5:30 AM to 6:45 AM on race day. The Kids Dash starts at 6:55 AM, and the main race start, following the national anthem, is at 7:00 AM. Aid stations with water will be on the course, and snacks and refreshments are available at the finish area. A DJ provides music and announces runners. Live results and awards are presented at the registration tent after the race.
Awards and Recognition
All participants receive a finisher's medal and a race shirt, subject to availability if registering within 10 days of the event. The Kids Dash includes an exclusive recognition pin. The 5K, Quarter Marathon, and Half Marathon award overall male and female winners with trophies, and first-place male and female masters (40+) receive a special recognition pin. Standard age group awards (gold, silver, and bronze pins) are given for multiple categories ranging from 10 & under to 70+.
Volunteering
The event offers various volunteer roles, including water station attendant, course monitor, finish line helper, and Bigfoot mascot. Full race volunteers receive a race shirt, VIP access, and a choice of a free future race entry or a gift card. The event proceeds regardless of weather conditions.
