Summer Georgetown Running Event
The Summer Georgetown 5k, 10k, & Half is an athletic event held in Washington, DC. The races take place along the Chesapeake & Ohio Canal path, providing a scenic route in the Georgetown area near the capital.
Participants can choose from several distances:
- 5k
- 10k
- Half Marathon
While all distances utilize the Chesapeake & Ohio Canal path, the starting and ending locations differ depending on the chosen distance. The Half Marathon starts and finishes in Georgetown near the Potomac Boat Club. The 5k and 10k races begin and end at Fletcher's Boat House.
The event is open to multiple types of participants, and walkers are welcome to join the distances. In addition to the in person races, virtual options are available, including categories with or without medals and shirts. Registration fees for all distances are tiered based on the date of entry, with price increases occurring as the event date approaches.
