Riverbend 5k and 10k
This event is a trail running race held at Riverbend Park in Great Falls, Virginia (8700 Potomac Hills St). It offers two race distances and a virtual race option for participants who cannot attend in person.

The 5 km follows an out-and-back trail route that includes some challenging hills. The 10 km is run as two laps of the 5 km course. The course includes multiple water stations: two on the 5 km and five on the 10 km, with Gatorade available at some stations. Restrooms are located near the visitor center.
Runners receive a finisher's medal, a technical (DriFit) event shirt, and chip timing. T-shirt sizes are guaranteed for those registered before November 23; extra shirts may be available afterward on a first-come, first-served basis. Packet pickup is available at the event and organizers recommend arriving about one hour before the race to check in. Race-day registration is offered, though sizes cannot be guaranteed for race-day registrants.
Points from the race count toward the Year-Long 5k and 10k Series, the Back of the Pack Series, and the Fall Series. Live results are posted on Athlinks and final results with series points are published to the organizer's website after the event.
Awards are given to the top three men and women overall and to first and second place in multiple age groups. The race benefits Warriors Ethos, an organization supporting service members, veterans, spouses, and caregivers with career planning and professional development.
