Sudbury July 4th Road Race
The Sudbury July 4th Road Race is an annual event held at Featherland Park in Sudbury, Massachusetts. The main road race covers 3.75 miles and follows a loop that leaves Featherland Park on Concord Road, continues onto Plympton, Water Row, Lincoln Road, returns to Concord Road and finishes on the small road into Featherland Park.
Registration for the 3.75 mile road race and the Little Kids Fun Run is online and must be completed before 9am on July 3. Same day registration is not allowed. Fun run participants must also complete an online waiver by that deadline. T-shirts are available to the first 250 runners who pick up their bibs on race day for the 3.75 mile race.
Trophies are awarded by age group: age 13 and under, 14 to 19, and then by decade for adult age groups. Trophies are presented on the day of the race following the kids fun run and are given only to runners who are current Sudbury residents, grew up in Sudbury, or work for the town.
After the race, snacks and drinks are provided for participants and their families. Volunteers from Sustainable Sudbury oversee waste sorting into compost, recycling, or trash. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
