Against the Tide Hopkinton
Against the Tide Hopkinton is a family-friendly, multi-sport event held to benefit the Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition. The event is presented rain or shine and supports MBCC community education programs, the MBCC webinar series, and an expanded student environmental health program.
The Hopkinton edition includes swim and run/walk components and has USATF-certified courses for running distances. Registration allows participants to create or join teams and to fundraise on behalf of MBCC; new teams cannot be created after registration is complete. Online registration closes the evening before each event and walk-in registration is available on the morning of the event.
Practical event policies include no refunds, no early bib pickup (bibs are issued at onsite registration the morning of the event), and wetsuits are permitted for the swim. No dogs or other pets are allowed on the beach except for service animals. Minor children under age 18 must have parent or guardian authorization and the parent or guardian must sign the Release and Indemnity Agreement.
Route maps and USATF certification details for the Hopkinton courses are published by the organizer, and a virtual participation option is available that allows registered participants to submit results for multiple event components.
