Strong Foundations 5K
The Strong Foundations 5K is the third annual community run hosted by the South Suburban Christian Schools at the South Christian High School cross country course in Byron Center, Michigan. The event raises funds for the five schools’ Foundations to help reduce overall tuition costs for students.
Event distances include:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 1 mile Fun Run for all ages
Event entries include an event short sleeve t-shirt when registered by April 15 to guarantee a shirt. Early packet pick-up is scheduled the Friday before the race at the South Christian High School gym entrance; on-site packet pick-up is available on the day of the event by the soccer field. Post-event refreshments will be available.
Awards are presented to the top male and female finishers in the following age categories: 10 and under; 11–14; 15–19; 20–29; 30–39; 40–49; 50–59; and 60 and up. Registration fees are required to cover event costs. The organizer states that refunds are not issued; the event is planned to proceed rain or shine, with possible postponement or cancellation in severe weather communicated by email or social media.
