Event Overview
The Strong Foundations 5K is a community fundraising event hosted by South Suburban Christian Schools. It is their third annual event. The goal is to raise funds for the five participating schools' foundations, with the aim of reducing tuition costs for students.
The event offers two distances:
- Strong Foundations 5K Run/Walk (5 km)
- Strong Foundations Fun Run (1 mile)
Event Details
The event takes place at the South Christian High School Cross Country Course in Byron Center, Michigan. Registration is $20 for the 5K and $10 for the Fun Run.
Participants who register by April 15 are guaranteed an event short sleeve t-shirt, which is included with registration for both events. Early packet pick-up is available on Friday before the event at the South Christian High School Gym. On event day, check-in begins at 8:00 AM near the soccer field.
Awards and Other Information
An awards ceremony is scheduled. Awards are given to the top male and female finishers in multiple age categories, ranging from 10 and under to 60 and up.
Post-event refreshments are provided. The event has a no-refund policy but states it will be held rain or shine, with potential postponement or cancellation only in cases of severe weather. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
