Stromness Open Water Triathlon Festival 2026
The event takes place in Stromness on 30 August 2026 with event headquarters at the Warehouse Buildings off Ferry Road KA16 3AA. The HQ is about a two minute walk from the Northlink Ferry Terminal and there is ample car parking roughly 400 metres down Ferry Road.
Both sprint and standard races begin with a deep water mass start from the marina slipway. The transition area is located in the marina side car park. The bike course uses open roads and includes one lap for the sprint and two laps for the standard, passing local historical sites. The run uses a 2.5 km loop through narrow streets of Stromness with the sprint covering two laps and the standard four laps. The finish is adjacent to the swim exit close to the transition area.
Team and relay entries are encouraged. The minimum age during 2026 is 15 for the sprint race and 17 for the standard race. This event will not be chip timed.

- Standard race: Swim 1500 m, Bike 43 km, Run 10 km
