OARC Kirkwall Half Marathon
The OARC Kirkwall Half Marathon takes place on 31 May 2026 in Kirkwall. The starting point and registration are at The Pickaquoy Centre, Muddisdale Road, Kirkwall KW15 1LR.
The race is run over a route made up of local roads and is held under a permit from the Scottish Athletics Federation. The permit conditions state that entrants must be over 17 years old on the day, the course is unsuitable for wheelchairs, and running with buggies or pets is not permitted. These age requirements are required for insurance purposes.
Entry fees include categories for club-affiliated runners. The information lists a fee of £11 for OARC members and £8 for OARC and Scottish Athletics affiliated members. Online entries close on 24 May 2026. Race numbers may be transferred to another runner up until 24 May 2026; no refunds are given unless the event is cancelled.
Awards and facilities are noted in the event information. Medals are provided for every finisher and trophies are awarded to first place finishers in age groups. Changing facilities and showers are available at the Pickaquoy Centre.
