STRIVE for 5 - Foden Road 5K
The STRIVE for 5 - Foden Road 5K is scheduled for July 12, 2026 in South Portland, Maine. The event is organized by the STRIVE Business to Business Networking Group and benefits STRIVE, a nonprofit that serves more than 1,400 young adults with developmental disabilities in Southern Maine through educational, social, and employment training programs.
Event options include:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 5K Virtual Run/Walk
- Children’s Fun Run to the end of Foden Road and back
The course begins at STRIVE on Foden Road, proceeds through the Texas Instruments property onto Jet Port Plaza Road, and returns to STRIVE. The Children’s Fun Run starts and finishes at the STRIVE parking lot on a portion of Foden Road closed to traffic. Spectator viewing is available on Foden Road and Jetport Road.
Entry fees vary by registration date: $25 early rate, increased fees closer to the event, with specific tiered dates. Participants 12 and under may join free with an adult. Every registered participant receives a shirt and free admittance to the event block party.
Packet pick up is offered the Friday before the race at 28 Foden Road and on race morning at the same address. Awards are presented to the top male and female in each age group: 12 and Under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 plus.
