Strides of Honor
Strides of Honor is a four hour run and walk held on May 16, 2026, at Mid Michigan College Harrison Campus, Poet Family Outdoor Education Center, 1375 South Clare Avenue, Harrison, MI 48625. The event is presented as the first edition of this format and is intended to honor those who have served the country.
Participants run or walk as many loops as possible within the four hour window. Each loop is approximately 4 miles, is clearly marked, and is designed for a range of abilities. Organizers note that a single loop may take about 60 to 90 minutes or longer, and all participants are encouraged to complete at least one loop.
At the 3.5 hour mark, no new laps will be started. Teams may have all members on the course at the same time. An accessible shorter loop option on pavement is available for participants who prefer or require a shorter route. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
