Clare Irish Festival Road Race
The Clare Irish Festival Road Race takes place on Saturday, March 14, 2026, in Clare, Michigan. The event coincides with the 51st Clare Irish Festival and is based at Clare High School, 306 Schoolcrest Ave, Clare, MI 48617.
The event includes the following distances:
- 10K Run
- 5K Run
- 2 Mile Walk
All races use chip timing for both the start and the finish. The start and finish line are located in front of Clare High School. Race shirts are limited to the first 400 registrants. Each participant in the 5K, 10K, or 2 Mile Walk receives a pancake breakfast.
Online registration closes March 11, 2026 at 11:59pm; the pre-registration entry rate is $25 through that deadline and increases to $30 afterward. Mailed entries must be postmarked by March 7, 2026 to receive the pre-registration rate. Early packet pick-up and registration are scheduled for the evening before the race at the Clare High School cafeteria. Race day registration will be available at the school on the morning of the event.
A free Kid's Run of one half mile is held separately, with morning registration for children and a lobby gathering before the run. Changing facilities are available at the high school. No awards are given for the 2 Mile Walk; medals and plaques are awarded in specified running age groups. The 10K course remains unchanged while the final mile of the 5K and 2 Mile Walk has been adjusted to remove some hills. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
