Strides for Life 5K in Kettering
The Strides for Life 5K is the tenth annual community event held in Kettering, Ohio to strengthen support, education and recognition of organ, eye and tissue donation in west central Ohio. The event includes both in-person and virtual participation and a dedicated Kids' Fun Run.

The event is hosted by Life Connection of Ohio, Solvita and Lions Eye Bank of West Central Ohio. Awards will be given to overall male and female finishers and to the top three males and top three females in each age category: 9 and under, 10 to 14, 15 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, 70 to 79, and 80 plus.
Giveaways for the 5K and the Virtual 5K include a District Perfect Tri Tee. There will also be a giveaway for the Kids' Fun Run.
Packet pickup is scheduled in the days before the event at Life Connection of Ohio, 2800 Donation Circle, Kettering OH 45420. The main event location is Solvita, 2900 College Drive, Kettering OH 45420. The event description states the aim is to reduce the waiting list while honoring those who have given the gift of life.
