Strides for Inclusion 5K Run-Walk-Roll
The Strides for Inclusion 5K Run-Walk-Roll takes place in Punta Gorda, Florida. This event is presented by Babcock Ranch and supports Pathways to Opportunity, a life skills development program. The program serves individuals with various disabilities, including Down Syndrome, autism, cerebral palsy, traumatic brain injuries, schizophrenia, and polio, with a focus on personal growth and community integration.
Participants can choose from the following event distances:
- 3.1 Miles (5K Run/Walk)
- 1 Mile (Untimed Run-Walk-Roll)
The course begins at Founders Square and concludes on the Founders Square boardwalk. The 3.1 Miles race is chip-timed, and awards are provided for the overall male and female winners. Additional awards are given to the first, second, and third-place male and female finishers in various age groups, ranging from 0-9 to 80+.
Participants who register by April 1st are guaranteed an event shirt. Registration is available for all ages, with specific pricing tiers for those 18 years old and under. Local running club discounts are also offered for this event. Registration on the morning of the event is available at the venue and requires a credit card or mobile payment.
