Strides for Community Summer 5K Series
Strides for Community Summer 5K Series is a free, recurring race series held at Blydenburgh County Park Campground Playground in Smithtown, New York. The series runs on five separate summer dates: July 9, July 16, July 23, July 30, and August 6. Registration is free but must be completed online; there is no day of registration.
Event services include online, text, and email results and free finish line photos. Bib pickup is managed by event staff beginning one hour before the event; a bib number is required for pickup. Last-minute registrants who register within 24 hours may receive their bib number by text within 90 seconds. Participants may join or form a team; team participation is optional and may not be associated with awards.
The event offers age-group recognition for the top finisher in female, male, and X non-binary categories across multiple age brackets, from 14 and under through 90 and older. Suggested donation amounts are listed as $5, $10, $25, or other. Although registration is free, participants must agree to event terms which note that fees are non-refundable and include standard release and consent provisions.
