Strider Half Marathon : Milwaukee
The Strider Half Marathon is a late-summer half marathon held in Estabrook Park, Milwaukee (4400 N Estabrook Drive, 53211). The course starts and finishes at the Estabrook Park Beer Garden near the central parking lot. The route includes a loop through Estabrook Park followed by an out-and-back section on the Oak Leaf Trail bike path; the path is paved and mostly asphalt.
Registration is online and the event is capped at 1,000 entries. Entrants who pre-register are guaranteed a unisex T-shirt. Online registration closes by midnight on Friday, August 21; race day registration is available if capacity has not been reached for a stated fee.
Packet pickup options include race day pickup and pre-race pickups at local running store locations on Thursday and Friday. Race day packet pickup is available on site. Aid stations provide water at approximately 1.8, 4.5, 6.2, 8.5, 10.7, and 12.6 miles.
Finisher medals are awarded to all finishers. Custom awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers, and medals are awarded to the top three in each age group from 19 and under through 80 plus. Post-race refreshments include a hot breakfast from the Estabrook Park Beer Garden and Old German Beer Hall, beverages, beer, and additional snacks.
