The Stride for Sight 5K is the 13th annual run/walk hosted by Lions Sight Research Foundation and San Antonio Eye Bank. It takes place on March 28, 2026, at Comanche County Park, Pavilion 2, 2600 Rigsby Avenue, San Antonio, TX. The event is family and pet friendly and will be held rain or shine.
Details
The event distance is 5 km and categories include 5K Run/Walk, Virtual Run, Sleepwalker, Team Walkers, and Kids 14 and under (kids are free with a paid adult and are not eligible for 5K awards unless they register in the 5K Run/Walk). The program features a free kids' fun run with prizes, free breakfast tacos, entertainment, a display of the Gift of Sight memorial quilts, team awards, and remembrance elements for cornea and eye donors. The 5K is manually timed.
Virtual registrants can download a personalized bib, submit results, download a finisher certificate, and receive a shirt and finisher medal; items may be picked up at packet pick up or shipped, with shipping possibly arriving after the event. All entry fees are non-transferable and non-refundable. Packet pick up is available at the Lions Sight Research Foundation location.
