Streetlight 5K & Frolic
Streetlight 5K & Frolic takes place on July 11, 2026 in Downtown Concord at the Cabarrus County Courthouse, 61 Union Street South. The event includes a community road race and a family-oriented Frolic and Kid Zone.

The 5K course runs down Union Street South to Oakland Avenue, around R Brown Elementary School, then returns on Union Street to the downtown finish. The 5K course is certified under number NC25013DF.
The Frolic and Kid Zone is free and includes inflatables, a balloon artist, LED seesaws, and a jumbo LED screen offering karaoke. Optional race shirt choices for 2026 include a women's racerback tank top and a men's sleeveless shirt; participants must register by the shirt deadline to receive these additional options. Registration opens February 1, 2026; the 5K registration closes July 10, 2026 and the Fun Run registration closes July 11, 2026. The 5K registration fee is listed as $20.00 and the Fun Run is free. Registrations after June 19 carry a $10 increase on race day and are card only while supplies last.
Awards are given to the overall top three male and female finishers and to the top three male and female in standard age groups from 10 and under through 75 and over. New divisions for 2026 include Masters 40 plus, Grand Masters 50 plus, and Senior Grand Masters 60 plus.
A Fleet Feet shoe drawing will award one registered 5K participant age 18 and older up to $170 in shoes. Participants who present an official Bunny Run race bib at Fleet Feet in Concord or Huntersville may receive a one time 15 percent discount on one full priced in store purchase from July 11 to July 18.
