Event overview
The Streetlight 5K & Frolic is scheduled for Saturday, July 11, 2026, in Downtown Concord, NC. The event includes a 5K road race and a one-mile Fun Run. The 5K course runs down Union Street South to Oakland Avenue, circles R Brown Elementary School, returns on Union Street and finishes in downtown Concord. The 5K is certified with number NC25013DF.
Logistics and competition
Place: Cabarrus County Courthouse, 61 Union Street South, Concord, NC 28025.
Registration opens February 1, 2026. Register by June 19 to be guaranteed a t-shirt. Race day registration increases the fee by $10 and is card-only; late registrations are accepted while supplies last. Packet pick-up is available at The Lenz Studio on July 9 and at The Lenz Studio on race day.

Awards will be given to the overall top three male and female finishers and to the top three male and female finishers in each age group: 10 & under; 11-14; 15-19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; 70-74; 75 and over. New for 2026: Masters (40+), Grand Masters (50+), and Senior Grand Masters (60+) divisions. Speed for Need will provide customized racing wheelchairs and a running partner for participants with special needs; reservations are available through the race contact.
