Strathclyde Park 5k, 10k and Half Marathon
This event takes place at Strathclyde Park, 366 Hamilton Rd, Motherwell ML1 3ED, and offers three distances:
- 5k
- 10k
- Half Marathon
Races are fully chip timed and the courses are measured. Race chips are issued on the race number bib at the registration desk on event day and must be secured to outer clothing for timing to work correctly. Race-day information is sent to participants in the week before the event and all details are stored in the runner profile with the booking provider.
Facilities and event support include hydration stations, kilometre markers, course marshals, instructor-led warm up, music on course, goody bags with sports nutrition items, and a finishers medal. Online entries typically close two days before the event and on-the-day registration is usually available while places remain; on-the-day fees are typically £20 for the 5k and £25 for the 10k.
Participation rules note age guidance in line with Scottish Athletics: 5k entrants should be 11 or older and 10k entrants should be over 15. Dogs are not permitted on the course. Standard headphones are not allowed but bone-conduction headphones are permitted. Typical cut-off times are 1.5 hours for 5k and 10k races and 3 hours for half marathons.
