ACORN South By Five - Kings Park
ACORN South By Five is a series of six park races held over 12 weeks. This entry is for the Kings Park event on 1 November 2026. Each event in the series is a 5 km race and runners may enter single events or the full series.
Completing five of the six races is required to complete the series and earn the title of "Fiver". The series visits Kings Park on 1 November, Linn Park on 15 November, Rouken Glen on 29 November, Pollok Park on 13 December, Bellahouston Park on 3 January, and Queens Park on 17 January. The final race is followed by a gathering and prize giving at a local bowling club near Queens Park.
All races are free to enter but there is a mandatory minimum donation to the Acorn Trails Community Fund. Places are limited to 65 for the Kings Park event. Series entries include an attendance condition: if an entrant misses two of the first three events, their series entry will be withdrawn and offered to the waiting list without refund.
Additional sign-up options include South By Five merchandise while orders remain open, and there will be an organised litter pick at each park. The event supports the local charity Give A Dog A Bone and encourages community donations such as foodbank contributions in lieu of an entry fee.
