Stour Valley Marathon and Half
The Stour Valley Marathon and Half takes place from Nayland Village Hall in Nayland, Colchester CO6 4JH. The course uses sections of the St Edmunds Way, Stour Valley Path and the Essex Way and covers a mix of tracks, trails, roads and byways. The marathon route is approximately 27 miles and the half marathon follows the first loop of the marathon.
The event is predominantly self navigation. GPX files or written instructions will be provided for download when finalised. Aid stations and checkpoints are supplied at approximately 6, 11, 15 and 20.5 miles and are described as fully stocked. The event is cupless, so participants must provide their own cup; collapsible speedcups are available to purchase for £2.50 each.
Entry fees are tiered and the basic entry does not include a medal. Medals must be selected and paid for at registration; organisers cannot issue additional medals or tees on race day. Cut off times are eight hours for the marathon and four hours for the half. Parking and toilets are available at Nayland Village Hall and are provided free of charge for the day.
