Clacton Half Marathon & 10k : Clacton-on-Sea, Essex

This event takes place on the seafront opposite Fourth Avenue in Clacton-on-Sea and runs along both the top and bottom promenades. The races are on tarmac and are described as mostly flat with two small hills. The 10k is one lap and the half marathon is two laps. A Junior Fun Run is also part of the programme.

The course passes holiday areas where spectators often line the promenade. Marshals support competitors along the route. Detailed route maps including GPX files are provided for the races.

What the entry includes is specified by the organiser and includes a bespoke medal, free parking, trophies and prizes for leading runners, free photographs and free post-race massages provided by Clacton Osteopathy & Physiotherapy Clinic. Event information is sent to registered entrants before race day.

Race headquarters are on the seafront opposite Fourth Avenue and the start/finish area is on the promenade immediately outside the HQ. Car parking is available close to the HQ and on surrounding streets. The closest railway station is Clacton-on-Sea, about one mile from the race headquarters.
