Storybook Half Marathon
The Storybook Half Marathon takes place on Saturday, November 21, 2026, at Roosevelt Forest in Stratford, Connecticut, near 700 Peters Lane. The event is a trail half marathon run on a looped course through wooded terrain.
The course is a 1.64 mile wooded loop on marked singletrack and doubletrack trails with roots, rocks, and gently rolling hills. Participants complete eight loops to cover the 13.1 miles distance. Runners are allowed up to four hours to finish; some prior trail experience is helpful but not required. Racers, runners, joggers, ruckers, hikers, and walkers are invited to use the course.
The race partners with Books4Everyone to collect new and gently used children’s books for delivery to schools, shelters, food banks, and community organizations across Fairfield County. Costumes are encouraged and prizes are awarded for the most enchanting outfits.
Aid is available at the main pavilion aid station, which is passed on every loop; hydration and snacks are provided and participants with specific dietary needs are advised to bring their own fuel. Porta potties will be located near the pavilion. Every participant receives a Storybook Half Marathon medallion and non alcoholic beer from Athletic Brewing; additional race swag and T shirts may be available for purchase. Podium prizes are awarded to the top three male and female finishers.
Registration is final with no refunds, bib transfers, or deferrals. Event organizers will follow CDC, state, and local health guidance. Participants must be 18 years or older without a parental waiver. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
