Honor Our Veterans 5k
The Honor Our Veterans 5k is the fourth annual Homes for the Brave 5K held on Veterans Day, November 11, at Sherwood Island State Park in Westport, Connecticut. The course runs along the shoreline of Long Island Sound and includes both a timed run and a guided health walk.

- 2 miles health walk
Proceeds and donations from the event benefit Homes for the Brave, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Bridgeport that provides housing, programs, and services to veterans experiencing homelessness. The organization works with veterans to set personalized goals for stable income and housing and to support reintegration into community life.
Registration opens April 15, 2026, and closes November 8, 2026. The published registration fee is $35. The event has a history as a memorial run started by a local organizer to honor her father; stewardship of the event has since been entrusted to Homes for the Brave.
