Storm the Farm - Winona, MN
Storm the Farm is a trail race held at Briggs Outdoors in Winona, MN on July 18, 2026. It is the second event in the Storm Trail Race Series and is ATRA Youth Trail Race certified. Participants under 19 receive a 15% discount.
Distances offered include:
- 5k Trail Race
- 10k Trail Race
- 21k Trail Race
- 30k Trail Race
- 43k Trail Race (Ultra)
The course uses private farm land and the bluffs of Southeast Minnesota's Driftless Region. The venue features steep climbs, open prairies, shaded single-track, and a crossing of Cedar Creek. The 10k+ loop includes two bluff climbs and a scenic valley; multiple loops of that course create the 21k, 30k, and 43k distances. The 5k uses one bluff climb and a mix of double-track and single-track valleys.
Aid stations are provided on the loops with water, snacks, Gu, and orange-flavored Tailwind. Stations are cupless, so runners should bring a reusable cup or bottle; collapsible silicone cups will be available for purchase at check in. The event is cupless overall.
Event policies and services include required pre-registration with no race-day registration, no course cutoffs, race shirts available for purchase for $20 with an order cutoff of June 15, 2026, Friday night camping for a $10 fee with no hookups, and no dogs allowed on the working farm. Thirty percent of each registration fee and registration donations will be donated to Hiawatha Valley Mental Health Center for youth programs. Volunteers are needed before, during, and after the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
