Storm the Day : Sunrise to Sunset

Storm the Day is a fixed-time trail event in Winona, MN on October 10, 2026, and is the fourth race in the five-event Storm Trail Race Series. The event uses a looped course; each loop measures 2.50 miles. Participants may complete as many loops as they wish during the event window.

Entries require pre-registration; race-day registration is not available. Individuals may compete solo or as part of a relay team. Relay teams are limited to five members. A Family Relay division requires at least one participant under 18 who must complete at least one loop. Relay entrants receive a registration discount; family relay pricing varies by age.

The course is described as the flattest in the series. A large area is available for participants to set up personal aid stations or tents. Organizers will supply typical aid station foods at the start/finish area, and participants may bring their own adult beverages in non-glass containers.

This is a cupless event to reduce environmental impact; participants should use reusable cups, bottles, or hydration gear. Silicone cups will be available for purchase at check-in. Meals provided for participants include a warm lunch and a pizza supper. Race shirts may be ordered during registration with a cutoff date of September 6, 2026. Camping is available nearby at Prairie Island Campground. Post-race activities include food and live music.
