Storm King Run
The Storm King Run is organized by the Rotary Club of West Point-Highland Falls, NY and takes place along the historic Hudson River on August 23, 2026. The event includes road race distances for adults and a kids fun run.

Parking is in the US Mint / West Point Ski Slope parking lot. The start and finish area is near West Point's Washington Gate on NY-218. A primary course is planned, but an alternate route may be used because of road repairs from recent storms; the alternate route, if needed, runs southwest along NY-218 and NY-293 for the 5K and 10K. If the alternate route is used, pets and strollers are not permitted.
Proceeds support local scholarship and youth leadership programs, including the Ursula Jordan Scholarship and the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards. Race chip timing is provided by Super Race Systems and a DJ is provided at the start/finish. Multiple water stations are available on the routes. Walkers are welcome. All paid registrants receive a race t-shirt, a goodie bag, and food and beverages. Participants in the 5K and 10K must turn back at a posted cutoff time and return to the start line.
