Project 13.1 at Rockland Lake State Park

Project 13.1 is a half marathon scheduled for March 20, 2027, at Rockland Lake State Park. Registration opens on September 3. The event is organized with controlled race conditions, two separate waves to reduce crowding, pacers supporting target times, individualized bottle service, and a water station near the start and finish area.

The course is USATF and IAAF certified and laid out for efficient running. Runners begin with roughly three quarters of a mile before a 180 degree turn, pass the start line, and then complete four clockwise loops around the lake. Tangent markers will be placed to encourage the shortest possible line on each loop.

Participant capacity is limited; organizers plan two races with about 250 to 300 participants each. Bib pickup is offered at Rockland Lake State Park parking lot 5 the day before the event and on race day. The event provides a complimentary hot breakfast for participants, with a limited number of additional breakfast tickets available for spectators. Parking begins in Parking Lot 5 with about 100 spaces and overflows to Parking Lot 4, which is approximately a one third mile walk from the start area.

Pacing groups include a range of finish targets to support runners aiming to complete the half marathon in under 90 minutes. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
