Stories Trail Runs
Stories Trail Runs takes place at Cheyenne Mountain State Park in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The event site offers views of Cheyenne Mountain, Pike's Peak, and the Colorado Front Range. The course consists of four distinct loops—labeled Red, Green, Blue, and Purple—allowing participants to experience different sections of the park rather than repeating a single short track.
The event features a central staging area and aid station located at the start and finish of the loops. This setup serves as the primary hub for all participants across the various distances and timed categories. The following participation options are available:
- 6-Hour timed event where participants run as many miles as they choose.
- 15-Hour timed event for running as many miles as possible within the limit.
- 6.7 Miles (10k) involving the Red and Green loops.
- 13.1 Miles (Half Marathon) traversing the Blue and Purple loops.
- 19.6 Miles (20-Mile) encompassing one completion of each of the four loops.
- Paperback 2-Day Pass combining the 6-Hour on Saturday with a Sunday race.
- Hardcover 2-Day Pass combining the 15-Hour on Saturday with a Sunday race.
In the timed events, participants may enter and exit the course at their discretion throughout the allotted timeframe. Course routes for the traditional distances may be adjusted on the day of the event depending on local conditions. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
